Double scanned
I would like to see the practice of scanning items in basket after being double scanned for items a couple of times and not knowing till I check receipt at home

Most rudest ,saddest ,non customer focused staff I have ever seen.
I have a business and go there for supplies every so and so.
Hate going there ,go there with a good mood and come out like a zombie after being served by the women with blonde hair there.
The way this place is ,it seems they dont want customers.

Until recently this place was okay, tatty and bleak but generally all right, but now, unless you want to be shouted at by staff, then have another staff member smirk snigger and sneer at you, stay away. Also, they clearly despise disabled people, they will not make the legally obliged adaptions to allow us to use their shop. And customer services is nonexistent Rubbish. Stay away

No customer service if I could give zero I would
I had not been for a while due to covid the system would not let me in my card was taken I was informed my account had been closed as I had not used during covid I was told I need to register again online. I phoned head office but this was a waste of time they cut me off. After many years of custom I shall go elsewhere the product range has been getting worse now mostly food no office supplies or electrical goods anymore

We've been using the Leicester Makro for something like twenty years now. Seen a lot of changes in the time over the years but we're loyal and keep returning. Consistent products, consistent prices, helpful staff keep us coming back

Makro doesn't take Visa
Hi! I am over in Thailand at the moment trying to organise my own wedding. I visited your Ubon Ratchathani branch with my fiancée and family today. What a farce this store is. We were in store some 2 hours using 2 of their large flatbed wheeled trolleys for all the food and cases of alcoholic drinks we needed for the event. Getting to the checkout the bill came to 19000 Thai baht which is about £450. I presented my Visa card. No sorry we don't take Visa. Presented my HSBC debit card- No sorry we don't take HSBC only Citibank. I presented my Amex card- No sorry only Citibank we take.
This is unbelievable- A big global company like Makro that doesn't take a Visa card- Absolutely Pathetic and hugely inconvenient because here I had 2 big flatbed wheeled trolleys full of cases of whisky, beer, wine and soft drinks that I embarrassingly couldn't pay for as well as a big queue of people waiting behind me. There were no signs saying no No Visa or anything either. The only thing I could do was to put the trolleys on one side and go out of the store and try and find an ATM that worked and finding one-.I managed to draw the maximum available from that which was 10000 Thai baht ( about £250) but then I was faced with the task of unloading the two trolleys to try and reduce the order value by half. No Makro staff offered to help- just stood by watching.
This shopping trip which should have been a pleasure was turning into a nightmare.
Okay -.so because of Makro not accepting Visa; I am now faced with the inconvenience of having to do another trip into Ubon and finding a competitive store that sells similar goods to replace the product shortfall.
Makro ought to bring themselves into the 21st Century and accept Visa, Mastercard etc like so many other large companies that now do so automatically. Will I be bothering giving my business to Makro either here or in the UK as a result of this? Answer - Certainly NOT.Thank you Makro- Bye Bye.

Total waste of time I arrived and was told they had deleted our account and just threw my card in the bin, generously said I could re-register and come back another time, I won’t bother I’ll shop somewhere that wants customers and has some basic customer service

Went into makro rayleigh and was horrified by how i was treated i was made to feel like a criminal by the assistant as my card hadn't been used for a while due to covid and not shopping for a while i thought i would go and get some bits for a big party we had coming up but no my card had gone off the system and i couldnt come in!even the customers in front of me were having issues with the assitant an older lady she said i could not have my card back and that was that!i will stick with cosco now much more friendly i dont know how they can be so rude and unhelpful to there customers as ive been shopping there since it first opened when they was crying out for customers.

Rude cashier I would of given a 4star to Reading…
I would of given a 4star to Reading Makro as everything was ok until I got to the check out. The cashier just needed to her job which was to scan my items and take my money.There was no need to make any comments about what had brought whether she like what I brought or not.Found this personally rude.
Awful Service.......
My online business account was moved from Booker (Chelmsford Branch), where the service and deliveries were excellent, to Makro (Rayleigh Branch) and since then I have had nothing but problems. Out of the blue my online ordering for delivery stopped last week but I can go in store and pick the items myself and then they will deliver. Make sense of that if you can! No one calls you back and when they do they don't really know what's going on. I will start shopping elsewhere for my business. AWFUL!!!

Had to mark one star as you can't leave none which is what they deserve,the irlam branch was very good nice staff, helpful, cheerful,NOT ANYMORE,the person on the front desk I won't call her a lady,was extremely rude ,she was shouting at a young lady with a well behaved child to leave as children are not allowed,ok but the way she spoke to the young lady was terrible,she should not be allowed contact with the public,we was refused entry because we had not used our card in a while the head office had cancelled it ,we went just to see if it was getting any better because it went crap ,and it seems it's going worse , I'll keep going to Costco

Absolutely awful customer service
Absolutely awful customer service and attitude on my visit today. Not been in a long time, card had expired, instead of help and support my card was convescated and I told to leave the store. Spoken to like I had a stolen the card!! Let's say I won't apply for a new card. In the current climate you'd think Bussinesses would be looking to encourage shoppers and future bussines

Absolutely atrocious customer service from most of the staff at this store all seem to be more interested in chatting (heaven forbid you dare to ask a question and disturb them!) than what they are employed for, absolutely no sense of customer service at all. What and where are the management? as never seen anyone even remotely in authority or indeed offer to assist a customer... Walked out due to rude and ignorant staff today and just opened a trade account at Musgrave. Not a nice store to visit, someone needs to take action on the the above issues ASAP before they lose all but the non business customers who seem to spend Saturdays there as a day out! Shambles and Management should be ashamed to take their salary!
